MRC

MRC

MRC - MRC Inc. (MRC) was established by Eui Joong Hwang (1927-2016) in 1961 in Busan, Korea. MRC manufactures internal communication and broadcasting equipment for marine applications, such as public address systems, auto telephone systems, talk-back systems, marine clock systems, and communal aerial systems for several kinds of vessels. MRC occupies around 75% of the Korean shipbuilding market, and exports internal communication systems to Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, India, and countries in the Middle East. MRC is the long-established company in the market of the internal communication systems for vessels in Korea, and it has successfully become one of the world’s leading companies in this field. Since 1992, MRC supplied its originally designed communication systems to more than 8000 vessels and offshore platforms. MRC, located in Busan, is composed of three factories and one office building with 140 employees. We work hard to offer safe navigation of ships to our customers, and we hope to get their ultimate satisfaction.

PA/GA System
MPA-9000 / MPA-7000 / MPA-2000

Public Address system is a marine and offshore PA/GA system. The Public Address System (PA) and General Alarm System (GA) are very important in ensuring the safety of facilities and human life. In particular, this system is designed to respond precisely to emergency situations through the connection with various alarm systems. In explosion endangered areas, an explosion-proof speaker or an intrinsically safe microphone is supposed to operate.

The PAGA system abides by the following regulations:
a) International Electro-Technical Commission (IEC)
b) International Maritime Organization (IMO) SOLAS
c) Nautical Safety (Rules for the Classification of Ships, DNV)

This system was tested at the IEC60945 standard and approved for CE by DNV. The Type Approval was done from Lloyd Register, CCS, and DNV.

Loudhailer
MPA-1100

The MPA-1100 series Loudhailer is a multipurpose device that is used as a ship-to-shore hailer, ship-to-ship hailer, foghorn, audio amplifier, intercom, and/or alarm system.

As a loudhailer, it amplifies the sound through the speakers to a 200~400 watt level and adjusts to the desired voice level. If an additional (optional) horn is added to the system, the loudhailer output can be switched to either or both of the hailing horn positions from the front panel control. And the system is designed and manufactured to provide ease of installation and operation with excellent reliability.

Durable, Waterproof Construction - With IP-66 level and our heavy-duty microphone and speaker the loudhailer are built to survive in the toughest marine environments.

Talk Back System
MTB-5000 / MTB-1200

Talk Back System enables free broadcasting and telecommunication in a particular area such as deck and machinery areas in the ship. All substations can be called to the main and remote stations with the maximum capacity of 45 substations. It can be connected to the PAGA and the PABX system as well. Substations include four types: flush, wall, waterproof, and explosion-proof types, all of which can be interfaced to the Horn/Bell/Flashing Light, and the Foot Switch. This system has the functions of both ‘call in all’ and ‘call in group’ and of the automatic switch of power for the main and the emergency situations. The system was tested at the IEC60945 standard and approved for CE.

The paging systems are designed in compliance with the following regulations:

1. IEC 60079-0 (Explosive atmospheres 0: Equip. general requirements)

2. IEC 60079-1 (Explosive atmospheres 1: Equipment protection by flameproof enclosures)

Intrinsically Safe Telephone System
LIS-114 / LIS-117 / IBT-100 / IBT-200 / JB-900C / MRN-2000IS

Intrinsically Safe Telephone system is designed to communicate at dangerous locations in the vessel (either at normal conditions or in the area with the possibility of explosive gas in case of accident), as it performs perfectly for the intrinsically safe construction. The structure of this system is carefully manufactured to be humidity, water, shock, and corrosion resistant in consideration of the maritime environment. The quality of voice signal and side tone was improved by adopting a low-noise OP-AMP in the telephone. Noises induced from the voice transmitter were remarkably reduced by using the circuits with high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR).

The system was tested at the IEC60945 standard and approved for CE.

The CAC-953 system is a maritime antenna specifically designed for the vessels, and that receives, amplifies, and distributes all types of broadcasting bandwidth including MF/HF/SW and FM for radio, VHF(H/L), and UHF for television, as well as the video from VCR and DVD.

The MAD-100 system also supports video from VCR, Satellite TV, and CCTV signal interface in addition to those supported by CAC-953 system.

Especially, the Omni-directional antenna is able to stably receive television and radio signals via the whip antenna during the operation of the ship. To avoid the attenuation of weak signals, the system adopts the Automatic Gain Control (AGC) in the built-in broadband amplifier. This system also boasts solid production so that it does not require any maintenance after installation. As long as the power is on in the system, all functions operate automatically.

Marine Master Clock System
MCS-970 / MCS-980 / MCD-100

Master Clock System is a device for indicating precise time and date to the analogue/digital slave clocks as well as recording and monitoring the operation data of the vessel. By using a 10.000MHz TCXO crystal oscillator to compensate temperature, the MCS-970 system excels in safety and precision as the system has 0.1 second error per month. By connecting to GPS and other devices, the MCS-980 system receives data from the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) and the Internet protocols (LAN) to automatically renew and synchronise the precise local time. This systems are manufactured to be shock and vibration proof, as well as are protected from air pressure and salt.

The system was tested at the IEC60945 standard and approved for CE.

Network Time Protocol Server System
NTP-100

The NTP-100 provides secure synchronised timing for ship network system. The NTP Server is the solution for stable and precise timing on your network with GPS via Marine Master Clock System. The MRC (MCS-980) master clock system ensures the synchronization of all IT devices on the same network. Typically, this is done through the network time protocol (NTP) on the active portion of the communications infrastructure.

The MRC NTP-100 is based on GPS and Master clock system technology for synchronising to satellites’ atomic clocks. This enables computer networks to synchronise all elements of network hardware and software (including system logs) to the millisecond over LANs and/or WANs anywhere on the vessel.

Network Time Protocol Server System NTP-100

Sound Reception System
MSR-9200A / MSD-100

Sound Reception System is a device for the wheelhouse isolated from the outside to pick up the signals clearly coming from other vessels by sensing the sound waves (70Hz-820Hz) outside the vessel. A sound amplifier and speakers are installed in the wheelhouse, and four waterproof microphones are connected to the outside. It is possible to figure out the direction of sound as the speakers in the wheelhouse play the amplified sound from the microphones installed outside. The level of output sound can be controlled and interfaced to the PAGA and Whistle systems.

The system was tested at the IEC60945 standard and approved for CE. The type approval was done from RINA.
